This is a very rare radio interview with Fela Kuti recorded in London, 1970.

The track called 'Who're You' is featured as part of the original interview and is available on the latest Soundway album, Nigeria Afrobeat Special: The New Explosive Sound in 1970s Nigeria.

  • i love the way fela attacked the presenter men...."what is afro-rock?" lol....Fela forever lives afrobeat men.

  • Fela rocks.

  • Presenter at the beginning and at the end of this unique interview is Pete Myers (1939-1998), who was a radio host at Radio Netherlands English section for many years. He joined Radio Netherlands in 1976, so this must be from his years at BBC radio where he joined the African radio section in the mid-sixties and was the first presenter of 'Good Morning Africa'.
