I thought the same thing regarding the sax. Perhaps the fact that the sax and the 811B horn are metal may be the reason why. I could be wrong.

thanks running the woofers full range now covering the midrange and the horns are now running like tweeters, no resistors no coils just a small cap on the 806a's----they are fun!!!

Great set-up. Mounting your Garrard 401 on a slate base is an excellent idea - gotta steal that one (not the turntable, the idea) LOL. I once had a Kenwood turntable that was built on a sold synthetic marble base. Shouldn't have sold it... What do you think of Electro Voice 12TRXB's? I might pick up a pair. There's something about the sound dispersion of coaxials/triaxials that I like.

I really like the EV 12TRXB's I heard a few pair and love them. I have a EV 15" in the attic...just scored a mint pair of Altec 416's from an old man who bought them new. So the set may change yet again.

What song is this?

Body and Soul off Wilbur Ware's Riverside LP-Chicago Sound. Johnny Griffen is the tenor player....a very overlooked session. Great stuff.

I'd swear the sax player is in the room with you.

horns do some things right and "having the horn player in the room with you" is probably what they do best..
