Fight Night: The Melbourne Street Fighter Arcade Community

This is a short documentary briefly touching on the arcade/fighting games community in Melbourne, largely referred to as Shadowloo Syndicate. The video is a final assignment for an RMIT student project. It is edited with Avid and shot with a Canon 550D.

On a related note, if what you've seen in the doco interests you, please support the local community here in Melbourne and attend Shadowloo Showdown on the 25th June 2011! It has an international line up worthy of any other arcade fighting event in the world. I know I'll most definitely be there!

Wish Malaysia had this interest in fighting games. Heck the only thing we have thats decent is tekken br and sf4 not ssf4. I would so love to live there thanx for uploading this

Man thats awesome.. I would so totally go to local tournaments - at the moment the nearest arcades are a few hundred miles away so I'm kind of screwed. Theres nothing like playing in the flesh as it were.. Melbournites - get ye to Fight Night!

Great video. I'm from the U.S., but I love seeing different communities getting together especially at the arcades. I would definitely like to check this out if I ever visit Australia one day.

I have never seen an arcade with that many AE cabs. I did go to a Time Out though, when I went to was when I visited my family in the Philippines, but all they had unfortunately was a lone T6:BR cab.
