  • I could have been way more productive during the time that I watched this had I chosen not to watch it. ;) On a serious note, turning off the auto-notification new email pop-ups on your computer and audible new email alerts on your cell phone is a huge step towards better productivity. I also schedule times to check email through out the day instead, such as the start of your day, right after lunch, and one hour before leaving the office. I check personal email after arriving home & before bed.

  • Love this Laura. Thanks!

  • For those of us that work online, taking a techation is very important. Resets the brain and helps me focus by taking regular complete breaks from technology.

  • Thanks Laura, I am constantly getting sidetracked and sucked into stuff that just isn't productive. I'm gonna get serious and set the alarm on my iPhone for a reminder and when the alarm goes off--I'll get back into focus! I'll give myself 15 - 30 minutes to be distracted and that's it!

  • This could not have come at a better time! Thank you!

  • Thank you Laura! I really needed this right now.

  • I thank you for setting me free. I am triggered by something that I am seeing that is unrelated to my goals on line. It can keep me moving all over until I am not able to even see...! Wasted time. Although rare occasionally I find something cool to ad to my business. That was on a very good day...

  • Way to go Laura! I completely agree.

  • Laura, this was so timely! As a solopreneur , I have been noticing that 90% of everything I do online is work-related or related to building my business. And yet, being online all the time keeps me from doing my own creative work. Thanks for sharing the results of your experiment. It inspires me to conduct my own.
