The Baltimore Ravens have expressed an interest in acquiring Arizona Cardinals wide receiver and three-time Pro Bowler Anquan Boldin, ESPN and The Baltimore Sun are reporting.

Boldin, 6 feet 1, 217 pounds, has expressed a desire to be traded for the past several months. The Cardinals publicly said they would begin entertaining offers for the talented wide out this week.

Sal Paolantonio of ESPN has reported the Cardinals are looking for a first-round pick and a third-round pick for the 28-year-old receiver, who caught 11 touchdown passes last season for the reigning NFC Champion, and that Boldins contract will also likely be renegotiated. The Ravens currently have the 26th pick in the first round of the Draft and the 88th pick in the third round.

The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants are also reportedly interest in Boldin. The Eagles have two first round draft picks, but they reportedly traded the 28th pick to Buffalo for offensive tackle Jason Peters. The Giants are also believed to be pursuing Cleveland Brown wide receiver Braylon Edwards.

There has been much speculation that the Ravens would draft a wide receiver in the first round this year. Baltimore has had visits with Maryland wide receiver Darius Heyward-Bey, North Carolinas Hakeem Nicks and Rutgers Kenny Britt in the last several weeks.

When asked about the possibility of trading for Boldin, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said he has been in contact with eight different teams in the last two days leading up to the NFL Draft on April 25, Jamison Hensley of The Baltimore Sun wrote on Thursday.

  • were gonna be so sick this year

  • yea hes a raven now!!!!!!!!!! sick!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hes now a raven

  • They Traded him to Ravens for 2011 4th and 5th draft picks

  • I want anquan boldin to stay with the cardinals i love the guy i hink hes better than larry.

  • As loNg as the cardinals don't get Ray Lewis. I don't want my seahawks playing that monster twice a year. Lol.

  • wtf r u talking bout anquan who is just as good as fitzgerald get payed half as much as he does

  • If moss went for a 4th no way anything above a third for this guy.

  • If you do get him, Im glad for you..but as a Cardinals fan..i'l be depressed. =[ ...but Boldin does seem to drain the teams money... one thing we wont miss. lol

  • I think its what we need, we finally have a decent scoring offence - we have 3 great RBs, but we still don't have a "threat" at WR, yeah Mason is great but all the others are just average, Boldin would step the whole defence up.

Defence is fine for now, sure needs a little patching here and there, but do that next year.
