@XHotShot7 Don't quote me on this, but I believe that is because you are getting shot from a Tank 3rd Seat Missile or a Soflam, which you can't avoid 100% of the time.

I hope you are a more experienced pilot now and you should correct your "air radar - useless" comment. It is one of the most essential things for taking out ground units AND dog fighting.

Attempt to dog fight anyone with air radar and you'll die very quickly. Also using heat seekers against other jets is useless (you just mentioned how well flares work).

You shouldn't be attempting to take out any jets with heat seekers any more after you get more experienced.

@unt0uch4 I agree and disagree with some of your points. Air Radar is, for the most part, useless. If you are a good pilot, you are aware of your surroundings. Nuff said.

Heat Seekers are a PRIORITY when dealing air-air combat. If your enemy flares, then you will have a second chance to lock on and kill your target. If he is a good target he will shake you before you can get your second shots off. Period.

I however must say I have been using the guided missiles, which work amazingly w/ Soflam.

@KingFong13 dont bother trying to kill them with rocket pods. Either get far back and spray with the cannon or make for a bee line and use heatseekers

@paymon11 I have to disagree with you about Heat Seekers being a priority. The most useful weapon in a jet is the machinegun. Heat seekers can be easily avoided if the enemy has flares. Also a good pilot can easily out-manuever the missiles. I would recommend rockets since they can help ground units by taking out tanks and other armored vehicles. I find the guided missile useless without the target being laser-designated. Enemies can get out of the vehicle and prevent you from locking onto them.

@paymon11 hmm, okay its just you know how when your getting locked on it beeps and then itll have a long beep when the guy can shoot you and after that it goes didididi, i mean that it just skips the latter 2 and just hits me when it sounds like hes still locking on

@mattfan14 Don't particularly like Air Radar myself, it doesn't seem to show enemy missiles like it's supposed to, and the size of your radar display is rather small and can't be made bigger like with the mini-map. I prefer to just zoom out the mini-map all the way and make it bigger, makes it a lot easier to see targets, assuming your teammates are actually spotting for you.

hey guys adding a tip here, dont be afraid to switch between 3rd person and 1st persond go in third person when looking for a target, first person wen track them and if you lose them go back to third person to try and locate them. visit my channel!
