Ithaca Cortland DWI Lawyer: Leandra's Law (Ignition Interlock) Problems

http://www.ithacadwi.com Leandra's Law or the Child Passenger Protection Act went into effect on August 15, of 2010. Every person with a New York DWI misdemeanor or felony, VTL 1192 (2), VTL 1192 (3), or Aggravated DWI VTL 1192 (2) (a) has to have an Ignition Interlock Device placed (installed), and maintained on any vehicle (s) they Own and/or Operate for a minimum of six months. Since this law is relatively new the law's practical application, and it's collateral impact is still being assessed.
