  • Hay, I'm old enough to remember my 1983 Home Loan at 9.5%. We bought smaller homes....we put 20% down...we didn't get 2nd loans to make the down payments and we paid those loans back! Today the government, IRS and bankers make it so easy to walk away from Loans! I wish I had over leverage by buying a million dollar 4000 square foot home and then defaulted living rent free until the bank can foreclose on me and then forgiving my balance due.
