@Aguacater87 what's a "tursimos race" sir?

I'm well aware how things sound through a helmet, balaclava and earplugs, I've been riding a motorcycle for 6 years now, and even with the wind noise blowing directly through the helmet (which doesn't happen in a cars cockpit) my Aprilla sxv550 doesn't suddenly go from sounding nice to sounding shit. It doesn't work that way friend. Fact is, even the un-tuned cars in this game sound crap. Great game, just sound is not it's strong point.

@Aguacater87 Of course, you may get the most realistic experience out there, with the right equipment. But i'm more the kind of person who likes arcade style racing (Shift 1 and 2 are in between realistic and arcade) and I don't need that kind of realistic feel. I just want to have fun, and thats why I would still choose NFS: Hot Pursuit 2010 and the Burnout Series above this.

@550starfox Put on a mask, a helmet, put a racing exhaust in your car and race and tell me how it sounds. Because it sounds like shit. If you change cameras the sound changes aswell in GT5. If you put a racing exhaust on a ferrari you ruin the sound which is what happens in Gt5 and I love that tbh. Go see a turismos race and you will see how terrible some car sounds.

Shift 1 and 2 are very good games in their own right. I had/have plenty of fun playing both titles. But I agree with you that GT5 gets glossed over unfairly sometimes. It's definitely more for the racing/driving enthusiasts out there. Different audiences, in my opinion.
