  • How many gallons is ur pond? Amazing video. Keep up the great work.

  • It is difficult to say because of the fact that it's shape and depth varies, but we estimate +/- 2,000 gallons. It is over 4 ft. deep in the center, and about 17 ft. across at it's longest point.

  • I love your buterfly koi. How long did it take for them to get that big? My koi are a year old.

  • Within 2 years he was almost that size (24" +/-), but we have had him for about ten years.

  • nice video you should be proud of your hard work

  • Thank You

  • I built a pond about the same size as yours last year, and am in the process of putting in the plants, thanks for the advice about the bamboo and cattails! You did an excellent job, thanks for sharing!

  • so nice thanks :)

  • Very nicely done and very helpful to me since I'd like to add a small pond to my back yard.

    Thank you.

  • This is my 2nd year with my pond. The dragonfly pic is what we see a lot of now. You never see one for years, but build a pond, and they will come. Very nice work. We just added plants this year.

  • We did not install bottom drains, however they are a great thing to have. Our filtration consists of a surface skimmer box with a filter pad in it (to pre-filter the water), next the water enters the external canister filter (Aqua-Ultraviolet Ultima II 6000) which can be backwashed to make maintenence easier, and finally the water is returned to the pond via the waterfall at the opposite end of the pond. The water is carried by 2" flexible pvc buried about 18" underground.
