The National Forensic League, a nonprofit organization that coordinates America's 120,000 high school debate students, has chosen animal rights as its fall theme. The debate organizers also contacted PETA, asking that we submit a video statement about the importance and history of animal rights in order to provide the students with some context to help them approach this crucial issue. • #FACT 10s of billions of animals killed each year to satisfy human taste buds

200 years from now people will look back at that fact and wonder how on earth could people be so unethical and so immoral.

  • I love Peta .

  • The people who think harming animals is okay, should be harmed, themselves. Why can't we just conduct tests on all the idiotic humans that exist in this world..?

  • Good points made

  • I've read in his own statements that Peter Singer is not an abolitionist but a welfarist who believes in using others "humanely" to benefit those deemed "superior." He also condones "kindly" bestiality which is actually animal rape. We need to change the system not embrace it; "regulating" animal torture and killing only strengthens the old system by making people more comfortable with it...nothing changes for the animal slaves who live and die horribly to satisfy human appetites.

  • I was part of this when I was in High School. Makes me wish I was back there so I could debate.

  • Sounds mean, but i would like to beat up the PEOPLE that do that to animals

  • That's disturbing

  • hold up. u can work AT peta? i thought it was just show up to an event sort of thing...

    i want in
