Kent Heitholt was murdered in the early morning hours of November 1,
2001 in the parking lot of the Columbia Daily Tribune, where he worked
as the sports department editor. This video features reenactments of
the five different stories given by Michael Boyd, one of Heitholt's
subordinates.

Read "An innocent man - murder and injustice in a small town" by John Grisham, a true story. Just being in the wrong place at the wrong time and you could end up in prison for years. Ron Willamson just happened to be in the wrong town at the wrong time. Looks like Ryan was in the wrong state at the wrong time.

My second question for the police department and legal apparatus there is equally worrying: Just how many other cases of trumped-up charges and custodial sentences have been handed out to people for murders they did not commit?
That police department would be declared unfit for duty if it existed in the UK and the judge in question would be likely investigated and struck off. You can't be charged with murder in Britain (or Canada, or Australia, or New Zealand) on hearsay.
It's sick.

This whole fiasco is a perfect example of the horror that unfolds from corrupt, lazy backwater legal systems and a judiciary manned with people too concerned about self-promotion to worry about Justice. Not only should Ryan Ferguson be patently acquitted, but the federal government should push for a full inquiry into this case and those involved. It is a shocking example of the infinite power of legal bodies to destroy lives.
This needs to stop.
Most corrupt case I've seen in years.

Why weren't the CPD interested in Michael Boyd? This video really puts things into perspective. The CPD is responsible for this egregious error. One has to wonder why and what would prevent them from investigating him? Thank you Citizens for Justice for another great piece of work.

They should have at the very least questioned Boyd a third time after the inconsistencies of PR#18 and 25.
The video proves there is more to Boyd’s activities than was stated in 18 and 25.
Police started Cosmo the search dog at the mouth of the alley not from where the victim had fallen. Yet another mistake made by the police if they had started from the victim the tracks which could have lead to a different direction.
