Boston College defeats Notre Dame '93

November 20, 1993 - A game which was an afterthought for many notre dame fans turned out to be a defeat which would set their football program back 20 years. This is the last time that nd was ranked #1. Since that time, they have lost 11 consecutive times in their various bowl appearances - the longest bowl losing streak in NCAA history.

BC has also won the last 6 meetings in a row with ND (and 7 of the last 8) causing ND to cancel their series with Boston College after the 2011 season.
