3 things that I really should have finished, but didn't. There are others, but these are the most notable.

Are any of these really good? Which one should I finish first?

You don't have to put it on an album! But I could definitely see putting it on Newgrounds and somebody using it.

ALSO: are you back? Listen to Spry, please, and we should hang out soon.

  • @ZucchiniSky But I can't have a loop in an album setting, which is ideally what all these songs are supposed to be for. (Even if I never make physical copies) The only time I can ever see me finishing it with a loop wouldbe if someone specifically requested it for a game of theirs. Too bad every time I'm asked to work on music for a game the game never gets made.

Looping isn't lazy, rather, it's what plenty of composers do to make a living. Almost every song I've ever heard used in a video game loops in some way or another, whether it be an ending that nonetheless flows easily into the beginning or a perpetual tune in which the last phrase ends abruptly without being immediately followed by the first. I swear, if you made it into a loop it'd be usable by others in projects by the use of the Newgrounds audio portal.

  • @ZucchiniSky Thanks for all the good comments. I don't think I'll finish 3 though, because I don't really do loops, and if I made it a loop that would just be a lazy way to have it done... I'd rather leave it unfinished than loop it. 1 and 2 I will finish. I'm working on 1 at the moment. Won't be done for a while, because Minnesota.

It's great for games, even as it is, although you know I don't like that pause at 4:11--if anything it should just cut to the next verse, or at least be half as long. You could probably "finish it" with just a little drum solo or something, to regain loopability.

Anyway, finish one and two, make three loopable, and I'll be a happy panda.

  • I LOVE THIS.

Numbers one and two are both absolutely fantastic, very realistic. The second part of one (0:31) is unbelievably pleasant. I can imagine you building up from the pause thereafter, eventually getting very powerful and amazing. Two does such a build-up right--2:16 is absolutely orgasmic, a breakthrough that almost brings a tear to my eye, perfect for movie score. Three is intriguing too: not as a song, but as a loop. (running out of characters, continuing in a response)
