i was one of those swat guys using "force". i'm also gay and a no on 8 activist. you should be proud of how the city and the police handled this. our department is the most gay friendly department in the state. no one got hit. no gas was used. we shut down streets to let you demonstrate. you got a legal dispersal order for THREE HOURS. your own organizers were pleading for you to break it up. when you wrongly make enemies of the police and start exaggerating, our cause loses validity.

I was at the rally and I thought the Long Beach Police Department were awesome...they were really great and letting us do our thing...

everyone has equal rights under prop 8. one person can marry another person of the opposite sex. that seems pretty equal to me
