Rusty the Martian Spy visits Earth, only to discover the strange and reckless ways the men of earth treat their cars and eachother. An interesting take on driving safety from 1959.
The beat played in the beginning is very funky for a film made in the 50's. It sounds like something you'd hear in a 70's film. I think the book said it's the jazz score that really steals the show.
The alien looks more like a hat then a car.
And this has more religious overtones then most PSA's of this time period, how quaint.

Wait, if there were car-like beings that came to earth, they could communicate with our cars? I wonder what mine would be thinking. -_- hmmmm.

This must be the first cartoon Howie Morris ever worked on; it's certainly before his Hanna-Barbera days.
This is the only other place I've seen Ken Mundie's name other than on The Door that he did at Warners in the 60s.
The Blakey score adds a lot to the cartoon.
