That is how I was back when I was in school. I will be sitting in class trying to pay attention but my mind is wondering off on something else or somewhere else. And, I used to hate to be the one to be called on by the teacher. Because I always feel like everyone is looking at me and then I blank out.

If you are in the U.S., anyone with a diagnosis of ADD/HD can go the the school's 'disabled student services' and get accommodations. This can include recording lectures, note-takers, extra time for tests...

49yo, diagnosed with ADHD twice... ten years apart.

Tried 4 different meds, University off & on since 1978 and no degree, 41 jobs since the age of 18.

I am watching this at work while trying to get paperwork done, and I'm laughing through most of this.

I can relate.

Gosh been there; done that!! But here in the UK it's very difficult to get treatment for ADHD. We need better NHS services for people with ADHD! Please sign the petition on 10 Downing Street site to help improve NHS services. Sorry can't put a link here so do a Google search for "aadd uk petition" to find it . Thanks for your help!!

change your diet and get more exercise. Chemical imbalances are due to poor diets and lack of physical exertion. the body and mind are running on improper fuel that it does not know how to digest often containing high fructose corn syrups and empty calories. psychiatric drugs are not the answer and are not fully understood and are payed for to pass FDA for mass production.
