  • I'm wondering if your plaster problems have to do with humidity or lack there of. I'm in a basement and haven't had too many problems with mine hardening. Are you dipping it into warm water? If I remember right, that helps. Also, the cloth is still somewhat flexible on my layout even- try adding multiple layers that might do it.

  • Cool! What did you make the mountain out of?

  • Thank you for the reply. The mountain is made out of cardboard strips with plaster cloth draped over it reinforced with hydrocal. The openings are made from forms, poured pea gravel into plaster. I covered everything in white glue and ground foam (working on it anyway) and the retaining walls are made out of stained balsa wood.

  • Wow my layout is horable compared to this look my videos and give me some advice

  • It looks great. I've been trying to do a mountain like it and I used screen and plaster cloth but I can never get it to harden. The plaster dries out but stays relatively soft. Any ideas? Its a garage layout so maybe its just the cold weather.
