Elect Mahmood Malik

Mahmood was born in 1944 in Lahore Pakistan. He came from a lower middle class family. Therefore he is self made personality. He completed his initial studies and bachelor's degree from Guru Nanak Pura Gujranwala. Then he moved to Lahore for his law studies. He got his Law Degree from the Punjab University Lahore and was placed in 3rd position thus claiming a medal.

After entering the legal profession he dealt with many critical cases. He challenged the imposition of inter district taxes in the Lahore High Court wherein it was ordered to be withdrawn in 1997. As it was against the government of that era therefore the circumstances became unavoidable for Mahmood and his family to keep on there living.

Therefore he decided to migrate to CANADA. He is first generation immigrant. He came to CANADA in late 90's. After a long period of struggle of stability he and his family are now well off. He is family oriented person. He is father of 5 and grand father of 10 children. He is a successful family leader who helped his family to cultivate the roots after the hardship of immigraiton. He has devoted himself to numerous social works to help the community in many ways.. He has seen rain and shine of the world.

He is presently the advisory chairman of a financial institution working across CANADA. In addition he is honourary chair of a ethnic newspaper. He is quite aware of the problems of a lay man living in Mississauga.

He has offered himself as a public servant for ward # 5 in Mississauga. Mahmood is committed to keep himself always approachable.
