  • thanks for this...slip kid was only played live about 10 times...this is one of the rare recordings of it, albeit audience...you would have imagined it would have made a great live track, but it just didnt work for them..

  • any idea why they so rarely played it?

  • Um... Who is this?

  • sounds like Rusted Shut on a good night.

  • "I didn't think it would take us so long to make money." -- John Enwhistle, in an interview.

In my book: they deserve every dollar.

  • Becasue they were short on cash and in debt, the Who did a massive tour from 1975-76. They virtually toured all of europe and north america TWICE. They played small venues in madison , winnepegg, oregon, etc. The played oakland two days in the row .Plus, there performances were physically intense (just watch daltry, moon and townsend play). Townsend wrote from the heart and had much depth and innovation in his songs/performance, which today is uncommon if not nonexistant.

  • @buubacous they toured more in their first 2 years than led zepplin did in their entire career

  • I disagree ! Back in the day , these guys toured their F-ing asses off and worked so damn much , rarely home ! Marital blisses and a lot of misery and loneliness ! Nothing like the creampuffs of today ! I just have too much respect for the " Who " to call any version " Shitty "

  • No wonder this is very rare.

  • This is horrible. Why bother...

  • I remember buying bootlegs on records - in the 80s - from Zeppelin that sounded worse than this. And they cost about 50 €.
