Gumbo from Texas.....LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont think so!!! They can't even make gumbo right in New Orleans....Net thing you'll tell us is that theres good boudin in east Texas..stick with menudo and fajatas....

Wonderful video. A great idea...to get your mother's recipe on video. The Tupperware salt/pepper shaker, coffee mug tree and the aluminum measuring spoons brings back such good memories. Thanks for sharing.

That's a good gumbo recipe. That's one off the easy's to do. I make mine the same way. The microwave trick is new and works good. She just forgot the bay leaf and some garlic. And a trick that I use is too put a little kitchen Bouquet about 10 minutes in the simmer before you service to give it the darker Cajun look and taste.
