Final Fantasy VII - Kadaj x Tifa - Cells

Woo-hoo~! I got started on it and I just couldn't -stop- working on this video. It was so much fun! The end got a little crazy, because I kind of rushed it, but I really wanted to get it finished and ready to go so I could surprise Avris when she got online. I said I'd have the beta up by the time she got online, so it'll be fun to say 'o hai i lied here's the WHOLE THING'. *heart* If the end gets confusing appearance-wise, just..bear with me. And use your imagination. XD

I didn't do much masking on this video, but I can already see that it's going to be a long process learning how to do this. Oh well! Practice makes perfect, they always say.

The first time she ever saw Kadaj, she wasn't really seeing him. She was seeing someone else, a hero gone mad with the knowledge of his origin..a SOLDIER she had been fascinated with. Reason dictates that Tifa not trust Kadaj, but he seems so..lost. Her bleeding heart wins out in the end, and she tries to win him over. It's hard at first; Kadaj is bitter and angry over the mere idea that "Mother" loves Sephiroth more than him. So, Tifa gives him the attention he seems to be seeking so desperately. She tries to ignore the recollections she has of Sephiroth, and for a while, it works.

One day, something is different. She knows that something's wrong, but she doesn't know what until it's too late. Kadaj is toying with a materia, and Tifa has no earthly idea what kind of materia it is. She tries to talk him off of the figurative edge, but it simply doesn't work. Kadaj's Reunion..he hasn't forgot about it, he hasn't forgot about reviving Sephiroth. He summons Bahamut SIN briefly, merely to distract Tifa. It works. The moment he is ready, he summons that creature back.

Tifa can only watch as he -becomes- Sephiroth. And she has a choice to make. She can hide, let Cloud fight Sephiroth while she offers silent support..or she can try to save Kadaj. It is a seemingly pointless effort, but Tifa puts on her gloves, prepared to fight the legendary SOLDIER merely to try and get Kadaj back safely.

This one act of foolish bravery, of Tifa putting her life on the line for him, is all Kadaj needs to pull free. However, it doesn't matter. Sephiroth had gone back into everyone's memories, and Kadaj's body begins to die. Tifa catches him as he collapses, and all she can do is watch. She can only try and comfort him as he reaches out to an unseen hand that takes him away into the Lifestream.

The smile on his face as he goes, however, gives her the comfort she needs.
