This was Artie Wayne's first solo record, and is a pricy record when copies actually turn up. Collectors and fans alike dig this record, and it's one of the best tunes to come out of the early 1960's. Why this wasn't a huge hit is beyond me, it certainly has everything needed for one, and coming out on a major label should've helped. Artie's still out there doing his thing, and he continues to write tunes and share his memoirs with the world, and can be found at his website, www.artiewayne.com. You can hear great tunes like this one live every single night on www.topshelfoldies.com!

  • This record shares some of the same traits as "Who Put the Bomp" .I don't know which record came out first but they're both rockin' little ditties!

  • Who Put The Bomp was first, I believe. Barry Mann had a follow up called Teenage Has-Been, that has a theme similar to this too.

  • I prefer the B Side, "I Hurt That Girl". Ace tune!

  • Yes the flipside is great too, sounding an awful lot like early Art Garfunkel on it....one of these days ill get around to posting his Diamond label single with Danny Jordan, as Jordan and Wayne...

  • Hi this is Artie Wayne & though I'm a bit late...I wanted to thank you for uploading this. I just set up a new You Tube channel under my own name of Artie Wayne, instead of the old one of rtwayne. I'll send you Friends invite, as well. Again, thanks for keeping my music alive - it is appreciated.

  • Just like the other commenter said - A doo-wap twist version of "Auld Lang Syne".

  • HI Tom,a great song thank you.Amnon in NY

  • the fact that it's partly "auld lang syne" shouldn't have hurt. that song was all over the charts in different interpolations...
