  • im about to go into year 12, and thinking of joining the navy as a boatswains mate. Anyone got any suggestions?

  • ahh do you like painting? haha its a fun job at times but it does have it down side like having to paint the ship and also when you get out the RAN the only thing you can do is become a Police Officer or get into security look at jobs like marine technician or a avionics technician or a cook even so when you leave the Navy you have something to do. but it is great that your looking into join the RAN and good that your thinking about your rate and not just running into it.

  • @MrSmile1087 you need to call your self a criminal breed aswell, convicts were sent to canada and the american colonies long before australia was settled.

  • @wers233 You don't understand geo politics. China and India are not allies, They are in fact enamies with border disputes China is supporting Pakistan and trying to cause India as much trouble as it can. If China tried to take Australia then India would be threatened by the loss of Australia's Resources. And the opposite would be true if India attacked Australia. Australia is a trading nation we want to export our resources to China and India. Both have no need to invade Australia

  • @wers233 but what i mean by contradiction would be because we made the Australia group, which is basically a no nuclear weapons group that aims at disarming every country in the world of their nukes through peacefull means. our country has headed too many non nuclear organisations to sort of turn around and say we are building nukes just like that out of the blue..

  • @wers233 not me thats making the compromise..... we have about 80,000 in our armed forces, if i had my way i think it would be around 200,000... have double the amount of fighter jets in the air force, a small fleet of bombers, the ability to produce nuclear weapons within a year... 2 or 3 aircraft carriers with a couple of squadrons and about twice as many subs,Destroyers and Frigates.. i would be looking at about quadrupling our forces, but using mostly the same vehicles, just more

  • @780Sasquatch yeah but in the mean time u r compromising the security of your nation.......not very wise.

indians are the greatest pacifists on earth.......india developed it's nuke in 1974, 25 years before pak. yet that hasn't stopped the paks from killing 166 innocents in mumbai.

if india had threatened pak with it's nuke back in '74 they (and the world) would have been spared of pak's terror.

NO COMPROMISE CAN BE MADE ON NATIONAL SECURITY.....PACIFIST OR NOT.

  • @wers233 If Australia decided to build nukes we would be responsible for the Biggest ever contradiction in human history, it would be nice but most Aussies dont think that way and would prefer being pacifists

  • good video, and that songs pretty awesome too!

  • @NAVY76 both india and china are energy hungry monsters. you guys have HALF THE WORLD'S URANIUM, on which their economy(particularly india's)will soon depend on.

US power is waning, they have already announced half a trillion$cut in their defense budgets....to be followed by a similar amount next year.tha twhen the chinese are motoring ahead with their military modernisation.

if u don't develop nukes, india and china will come for u. they are just waiting for the right time

  • @NAVY76 the aussie navy is advanced but it is too small compared to china and india which will be australia's greatest threats in the future. both indian navy and the PLAN are expanding exponentionally, india will have 60 submarines and 5 aircraft carriers by 2025, china will be even further ahead. both the asian colossi have booming economies which fuel their military expansion....and they have nukes.

aus needs NUKES to protect itself from china and india. u can't rely on the US anymore

  • @Bull0839 good comment : )

  • nice vid ben , check out taskforce 72 , 1/72 scale war ships i think u will like it
