  • I love this location. I remember back in like 1992 when my father and I stopped at this location to watch trains on our way up to Lake Almanor to go camping. There is also another spot, now apart of the BNSF Gateway Subdivision right behind the campground.

  • AWESOME VID! five stars and i must say that i love this location! Great job,

    Grant

  • Impressive!

Accurate, is a kind "loop" which is necessary to lose altitude.

Good location and excellent video. Greetings from durango,Mexico!

  • Wow great video! I'll have to put this place on my bucket list...

  • Awesome view and a shave and a haircut! Nice!

  • wow.. very impressive!! A train passes itself underneath. I've never seen this in real film... Here in Germany we don't have such long trains

5 points and greets of a train-friend from Germany

  • It takes at least 2 minutes for a train on the Williams loop to go from the top to the bottom and vise versa.

  • Arthur Keddie was one hell of a surveyor! UP nearly abandoned the Feather River Canyon line in 1997, but the grade through the canyon never exceeds 1% as the WIlliams Loop proves! AWesome video...

  • Thanks for sharing

  • This would be cool as hell to model

  • Awsome shot man, you sure have gotton around. You been to Donner yet? I have only come to this exact spot once, and I also caught a UP (but it was a Stacker).

  • Great job of filming. I remember when steam engines operated here but that was a long time ago.
