I'm gonna buy this card but would it work fine with this CPU Q9550 and not getting bottleneck?
-
@realinterfacestudios Solutions tried so far:
1) Current drivers (clean install).
2) All codecs (CCCP/K-lite/win7codecs etc.).
3) I tried running it without tandem with old (9400) card.
4) I tried restoring (and removing GTX) with only old card, and same problem exist now.
As a graphics designer, this slight pixelation/grainy-ness is painful to work with. I'm wishing I didn't bother upgrading since it just deteriorated the quality.

SPECS:
- Windows 7 64 bit professional
- 8GB RAM
- Intel Core i5
- Nvidia EVGA GTX550 ti side by side with GeForce 9400 (old)

I just got this new graphics card EVGA GTX550 ti to upgrade from my (very) old 9400.
I notice a degradation of images and videos... not that much but enough to frustrate as it makes pics and videos I have seen dozens of times previously with no problem to now have pixelation and is "grainy". Especially to note the faded blotches appearing in darker areas of videos.
I do remember it did it last time I upgraded cards too. I just forgot how I fixed it years ago... any help?

I really like this card but i dont know if i can install it. Is there something other than this card that i need? Or can i just remove the card i have on and put this one on?
Any help would be appreciated

@limedesign2 a hell of alot better
-
would the graphics on this card and a mid level pc be better than a ps3 for game performance?
-
@DJToastee Then that's cool then, I was thinking this card needed a little more power than that. I may get this card then for now. Probably still going to drop a 500+ watt power supply in my rig though for extra power because I want to eventually get an even better card when I have the money.
-
@LowQualitySkyrim Doesn't matter, I've got a 450 watt PSU and my card is now running perfect, its been on for a long time, so I'm sure 450 is fine...
-
@DJToastee Right... and if you plan on getting this card, go for at least a 500 watt psu.

i am thinking of upgrading my system with the gtx 550 ti and i want to know how good is this card and if it will work withe windows 7 ultimate 32 bit ,intel core i3 cpu 3.07ghz and 3gb of ram?
danvar249 3 weeks ago
@danvar249 The card should work fine but if you can afford a little more get the 560 as the 550 ti struggles a little at higher resolutions. Hope this helps :)

I just bought parts for a new computer, I've already installed them yesterday and today i got my GTX 550 TI and I have installed it, I get no image from either the 550 or the integrated graphics card even though it was working yesterday. I have a 500W power supply. I am not suer what to do any ideas?

@MasterProBeats Did you plug in the power cable that goes in the end of the card. You then need to plug in a cable from your PSU to power the card
