That's uncorrect. Bruce Lee studied Siu Lim Tao + Cham Kiu in Honk Kong. Afterwards he moved to the U. S.
But beside only the forms, he obviously gained a lot of practical experience. Cheers jp

Chi Sao isn't just to get used to fighting in close.. Actually CS teaches you everything about fighting.. The rolling movement you do is done in a circular shape is to defend against all possible attacks.. That is done through the four types of rolling hands in CS.. Add the forward force towards the opponent's center to make sure that at the instant he breaks arm contact or opens up your fist or palm lands in his face.. There are also other benefits for doing Chi Sao..

Bruce Lee never ever ever favor Boxing over Wing Chun!!.. Bruce searched for the essence of every art he encountered through research and application to understand it and get the most out of it whether to use it himself or just to know its weakness.. He did that with every art not just Boxing..

If I'm not mistaken, Bruce Lee never learned wing chun beyond siu nim tau.

Chi sao is to get a feel of fighting up close to a person if you start swinging your arms out wide when you fight then your only going to get hurt
