  • Sorry to say that I have removed some of the comments because of the swearing - if you have a problem with a user, please send them messages directly, and keep this section free for those to have sensible discussions - thanks :)

  • Guys, please can I ask that we keep any discussions a little more civilised, thanks ;)

  • @CaptainHollister

you're right, I stop this discussion right now, I am afraid to be as stupid as fringecakeboy if I stay here.

i hope not finish like him when i will have his age. it's very sad!

  • @pennbzh Please don't get me wrong, I actually encourage healthy debate and free speech - but when it descends to swearing by some members, then it is no longer a healthy debate, but a pointless argument. So long as the debate is kept calm, then I have no quarrels at all - we are all entitled to an opinion, what-ever that opinion might be :)

  • @StrangerYouKnow it's called 'Boney was a Warrior' i think (Boney=Bonaparte)

  • @CaptainHollister very well said. spoken like a true 19th century British liberal :)

  • Does anyone know the song the brits are singing?

  • @pennbzh Welington, and yes Blucher helped a lot, that is true, and if Napoleon was in good health in the day of the battle and Grouchy had arrived Napoleon would surely have won. This was a time of great generals and men.I am sorry for my English.

  • @pennbzh You can't deny that Britain had a great part in the napoleonic wars, without British help the peninsula would not have become free, they would cause damage certainly but not freedom. And you cannot insult England in such a way, since the Iluminists that gave ended up inspiring the french revolution based themselves in the English Parliament and end of absolute monarchy like in France.Britain is a country with a great army.I have great respect for Napoleon, he was a great man , but so is

  • Have to agree with Hollister. As much as I love to see the good old Anglo-Franc love hate relationship is still alive, that guy is a poor example of our countrymen.

  • @pennbzh Last I heard, 25% of the Foreign legion is french - they get in by pretending to be French-Canadian or french-speaking Swiss - thats what I heard
