  • 2 Pet. 3:16 says that "the ignorant [ἀμαθεῖς, lit., unstudied] and unstable distort" Scripture.

  • Jesus is God, yet not by virtue of his human relationship to his Father, the Great I Am. He is God by virtue of the identity of His Spirit. God was IN CHRIST. That does not mean "God the Son" was in Christ. It means "God the Father, the Holy Ghost" was in Christ. As the son of God, Jesus was a man. Let us preserve the truth revealed in the expression "son of God" & deny the false teaching suggested in the pagan expression "God the Son". It only denigrates the doctrine of the Incarnation.

  • To suggest that God relates to anything as its offspring is indeed pagan. There has never been a "God the Son" in the Godhead. God was in a man. This does not mean that God is a man. As scripture says, "God is not a man...". The mystery of the Incarnation must be preserved at the expense of the false doctrine of trinity which conflates issues of humanity with those of divinity. Sonship is an issue of humanity. Father and Spirit are issues of Divinity as regards the Identity of Jesus.

  • The Spirit that was in Christ is the Holy Spirit. In other words, the Spirit of Jesus is the Holy Ghost. Jesus is the ONE Who had the power to raise HIMSELF from the dead, because the Father was IN Him FULLY. God was manifest in the flesh. No "God the Son" character was there to manifest Himself. There is no such character in scripture. God has NEVER been a son of anything. God does not relate to Himself as a son nor does He relate to ANYTHING as a son. Sonship is a human condition.

  • Is it not scriptural to think of God as ONE Person, in agreement with Hebrews 1:3, "His Divine Person"? This ONE PERSON is our Father. "Father" is a relational term. This one Person Who relates to us as our Father is a Spirit Who is Holy Now this is not two persons but ONE. Our Father is a Spirit. The scripture does not seem to suggest that our Father is a son in any sense. Rather, it says that God was IN the son. God the Father was IN Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. Incarnation

  • God bless you as you desire to know Him more. Yet I challenge you to find one passage of scripture that uses the word "persons" in relation to God. The only passage I know using the language of "person" is singular, Hebrews 1:3. Furthermore, the classic language of trinitarian dogma refers to "God the Son", an expression found nowhere in the Holy Scripture. Is it not reasonable to require of core doctrines that they at least adhere to scriptural language in their fundamental formulation?

  • The "Word" (Logos) is Love. The most basic definition (my definition, anyway) of this principle being: two or more unit entities coming together and bonding to form a new unit entity. That's how the present state of the universe came to be. Particles formed atoms, atom formed molecules, molecules formed celestial bodies, from those celestial bodies came microorganisms, and from those microorganisms came complex life forms. Without "Love", the universe would be chaos. It's the founding principle
