Had a similar situation in Melbourne. I reported the driver of the Porsche. I got a phone call from the police the next day saying that they'd just been around and visited the guy. Whether they did or not I'll never know - but at least they rang me back.

Nasty close. I hate it when they do this because the road surfaces are terrible in the UK and if you come off it makes you think "where do you think my legs will go, Mr Driver?"

So Tenicks AKA freshvisionmedia I'm still waiting for that video of 7 cyclists across the road. Are you having trouble setting it up? I do hope it's your own video if you do "set it up", would be I'm sure, I mean it is so common, you could video as many bad cyclists as I do Aucklanders that can't drive. Yes there's a cycle lane. If you knew the area you would know its narrow and has street signs in the middle of it, car doors opened across it, people walking all over, & people learning to roller skate lying down across it, and of cause I have the right to choose the route I take. Oops, I have just realised that you are the same 2am Saturday morning piss artist that left a comment on another of my videos. The standard of driving in an area is a direct reflection of the standard of Policing in the area. They can charge with careless or dangerous driving but choose not to and what you see in the video is the end result.

I reported a woman for forcing me into the gutter before I had the camera, the Police said they met her but could only give her a warning as they didnt have any proof, so I thought, ok if proof is all thats holding them back, Ill give proof, and now they do nothing, they dont even pretend to give a warning. Safer Communities Together honestly they could at least pretend! Im so disillusioned :-)

I've heard the same said about NY and LA drivers too. I suppose it also depends on locality as drivers seem to behave differently in different cities in the same country.

Prolly why I see a some of the posties ride on the pavement on certain roads, LOL!
