Got tickets to go and see Rush for my christmas, so I've been listening to them non-stop lately! Thought I'd have a go at a version of my favourite Rush song, The Spirit Of Radio. Using my Ibanez JS1000 and IK Multimedia Amplitube 3 - the OR120 and Custom Modern Hi Gain models.

Holy shit man. That is the only time I have ever heard anyone do a Rush solo that is better than the original. Lifeson would be in awe of you! :o)

Really sick man. Just saw Rush this week was sick. The Closer to the Heart extended intro really got the crowd going and Peart's Drum solo an absolute killer!!!

Great version Lyle. Quick question: how did you achieve that chirping dive bomb effect at 4:44? That was wicked awesome. Yeah, I get that it was pinch harmonic and used your left hand to dive the trem, but the oscillating chirp effect - how'd you do that?

@ElevenBravo There was a flanger on the patch, and the overtones caused by the two pinch harmonics on the G and B strings, caused the flanger to create that oscillation effect.
