  • Most people think he really didn't do much if they see this shot without the explanation but when they try it, they discover how difficult it actually is.

  • @JamesCFraser Hmm, he's KID delicious so I'm betting he learned to play as a KID. So, he was probably a bit short and even standing on a milk crate had to develop a side stroke ala Keith McCready (which is why McCready is a side stroker) and Willi Hoppe. His technique is classic sidewinder.

  • Thanks for sharing. Read your book and wish you all the success in the world, you are the real deal! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Sounds like Harry Carey.

  • Kid D is the Man!!

  • damn that looks hard... I would have just used lots of follow.

  • @TheGreatJohnny8

For example, whilst both Alex Higgins and Steve Davis are good players, who do you think you're going to learn more from in terms of technique? Almost everyone who is not Alex Higgins will play abysmally if they copy his stance etc, but Higgins won a world title.

  • @TheGreatJohnny8

    Two things:

I didn't say he was bad at playing.

I didn't say my technique is good or that I even play competitively.

He has obviously become good as a result of practice and natural ability - which is perfectly reasonable. However, teaching someone who lacks the natural ability it is best to teach them orthodox technique. I, myself, am a snooker player, so I follow technique from guys like Steve Davis.

  • @JamesCFraser it may be shite ... but he won a half a million dollars in a year with his "shite" technique ... how much have you won with your perfect technique?

  • I can't take this guy seriously because his technique is shite...

  • his voice is horrible
