I'd hate to tell you, but the Star Wars movies were in the 70s. I also regret to inform you, that there was a LOT of selling out going on in the 90s. Every single "RADICAL GNARLY" movie from that decade made me want to punch a baby (And I was BORN in the 90s). Is there selling out now? Yes, definitely. But don't act like it's a new thing.

mark hamill, harrison ford and carrie fisher starred together in 3 of the best movies ever. where are they now? Mark went to star on broadway and starred in another iconic role in the 90's Batman TAS. Ford became a huge star, playing indiana jones and a lot of other great movies. Carrie is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict.

I miss old film. Nowadays, our culture is obsessed with glamour and technology. Take a look at our music industry where every musician(Lady Gag, Akon, Kanye West, Brittany Spears) is abusing Auto-Tune to sound better. Even the film industry is overusing CGI effects to the point where it's no longer a novelty(think Transformers 3, and the Star Wars prequel). We no longer appreciate what we have because we have too much of it! God I miss the 90s.
