A short film inspired by my trip to Luray Caverns in Luray, Virginia part of the Shenandoah Valley. Most footage taken on the road to or inside the caves with my Sony T90 digital camera in 720p HD video mode except for the scene with the fetuses which was taken earlier this year at COSI (Center of Science and Industry, Columbus, OH).
The short film is heavy compared to my other easy going videos as I try to recreate the feeling and emotions that Luray Caverns brings regarding creation, evolution, and our place in the scheme of things - how nature creates wonders, the vastness of time that we are traveling through, man's blunders and achievements, etc, etc.
Also featured in this video...
- The Bear Creek Wind Farm wind power generators as seen from the Pennsylvania Turnpike while heading south east from Ohio to Maryland.
- The Allegheny Mountain Tunnel.
- An accident involving a tanker truck flipped sideways along interstate I-70 West.
Inside the cave special emphasis was given to the Dream Lake section simply because it is one of the most interesting and awe inspiring sections. The stalacpipe organ can be found playing in the Grand Ballroom section of the caverns.
