Trust me, tuna are not your typical fish. They're closer to sharks than trout or salmon.

Well, it's done show and the guests who go on there all become more famous than had they not gone on there.
Maybe a sommelier has a special knack for taste that regular chefs don't have towards a given item. Who knows... All i know is I will miss this show greatly now that it's not in production anymore.

Question: Why did they have an Iron Chef compete against a wine steward (sommelier)?
Aren't they supposed to give challengers some advantage (that's how it's usually the show is set up)? a professional cook against a wine steward in a cooking competition... Even that Ohta faction member who is a sake expert, is a chef who specializes in using sake in his dishes.
Maybe they're evening the odds a bit, since I think IC Kobe is still fairly new around this time. I dunno ^_^'

I kinda feel bad watching this, like the challenger is out of his league. Actually hope he beats Kobe dont like the comments hes said so far.

I didn't know that fish meat was that huge. Those are just like beef or ham roasts.
