Doctor Who - Time Crash, is a mini-episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It was broadcast on 16 November 2007, as part of the BBC One telethon for the children's charity Children in Need. Written by Steven Moffat, it starred David Tennant and Peter Davison as the Doctor.
The episode, set during the last scene of the previous episode "Last of the Time Lords", depicts a humorous encounter between the Doctor's fifth and tenth incarnations, played by Davison and Tennant respectively. "Time Crash" was universally praised by critics who reviewed the episode, and was a ratings success; it was the most-viewed show of the night, and briefly the most-viewed episode of Doctor Who since 2005, with 11 million viewers.

  • David Tennant was born in 1971, so he was 11 years old when Peter Davidson became the doctor in 1982. (Season 19) It is very possible that Tennant was a fan of Davidsons portrayal of the doctor when he was a kid. Hence the line " 'Cause you know what doctor? You were my doctor".

  • I think the doctor just sank the Titanic. xD

  • @EdtheBlueNinjaYoshi4 Actually I got that story from some interview a while ago, but yes, the "Ascended Fanboy" thing is from TVTropes. One thing that site is pretty awesome at is naming things, IMHO. ;)

  • @dziooooo

    So much TV Tropes.

  • @EdtheBlueNinjaYoshi4 Well, he IS the ultimate Ascended Fanboy after all. Not only did he play the Doctor after Doctor Who had inspired him to become an actor, but he actually married Peter Davison's daughter (who plays HIS daughter in season 4 of NewWho). I don't mean that's the reason why he married her, but come on - that whole story makes my little fan brain go Squeeeeeeeee.

  • Something tells me that wasn't scripted and Tennant was just having a real fangasm.

  • ok l always wondered what he was doing before that happended

  • haha total fail at the highfive

  • 5th doctor and 10 doctor are gonna be related :)

  • David Tennent said in an interview that his first doctor was the 5th doctor

  • This Is Like My Favourite Special! Thanks For Posting! :D

  • Love that David Tennant's hero is about to become his father-in-law!

This is such a great children in need episode! :)
