After watching all of Day 1, it seems obvious to me that these girls are under a RIDICULOUS amount of pressure - whether from their coaches, Marta Karolyi, or themselves - and clearly it is counterproductive. I know they need to get used to the pressure of high-level international meets/WC/Olympics, but this is just unnecessary. And the way the commentators are talking, it's the end of the world for US Gymnastics...

Gabby was absolutely nervous on the beam. It's most visible on her splits and switch ring. She usually has good splits, some of her splits here are so messy.

Did anyone else turn on the captions? It's really funny "a 13.6" turns into "clinton's sex" also "the socks out of into double dare he said that" = just saw a shot of Andy Memmel there, he says that. I guess I never noticed the captions before. lol
