Jee what a surprize. For using him for symbolic reasons. Peter Garrets biggest fault was having the balls to take such a position and think this wouldnt happen. Maybe he did know but will give his best shot anyway. Regardless of losing face to those he inspired and how UNPOPULAR he might become to both environmentally concerned people and other. Regardless that he's at risk of being used as the Scapegoat as well.
I wish him better luck and hope they dont throw him to the lynch mobs.

Garrett, biased? Of course he is, as is everyone, myself included. At least his opinions seem to be well-informed, and not based on some corporate mate's bottom line.
On the other hand, he just doesn't seem to be able to think on his feet. He probably paces around at night saying "Bugger... I should have said..."

Kevin is out of the country again - after all they voted for a diplomat - this is what he can do. All talk and no action. Meanwhile we have to suffer Julia as PM. I hope we don't have to make any major decisions or actually have to start doing any sort of governing around the place. Ah land of the long weekend ... yawn

It is laughable how they back stabbed Garrett with giving his portfolio to Penny Wong. Grab a look at the flotilla of drop kicks who went to Bali. Abandon ship - where's the sunscreen? Talk about a conga line ......
