Schism by Tool played on a 12 String WARR TGS-12. This has a mahogany neck and maple body. I cut this video so that you can see some alternative ways to get Justin Chancellor's sound without having his exact setup like I see on a lot of posts. This is a Bass Pod XT Live with an Eventide Pitchfactor (used for the Bass Whammy stuff). There are some close up shots of the gear and of the neck during the solo.

  • umm how would you do a open note like for a example a low b on the b string if your tapping? sorry if the answer obvious im kinda n00bie

  • @TheNuclearBanjo There is no tapping of open notes on this. You can take off the dampening material and play it with traditional means such as a pick or fingered and you would be able to get to the open notes.

  • What are the advantages of a Warr Guitar over a Chapman Stick? I'm in the market for one or the other so some knowledge from an actual player would be great.

  • @MrSeemby WARR's sound more like bass and guitar. Chapman Stick has a brighter tone. Very ergonomic as well. The WARR is not the most comfortable thing to play due to it's size.

  • How heavy is your Warr?

  • @Wolvve Not sure. 12lbs maybe

  • Sweet looking instrument man! Does it have the same tunings as the Chapman Stick?

  • That is fawking kewl bother!!! Good work

  • @WARR138 amazing dude, if anyone hates on you for this, they HAVE to just simply be jealous.

I though playing a five-string was "advanced" or "extended range" i guess i was kinda off on that thought

personally i love extended range basses

maybe after a few dozen years I can try one of these bad boys

thanks man, this video is amazing

  • 5 people thought that dislike button is actually button to download that song lol
