At last - comment made by dcbernard 3 years ago - i totally agree! To much blood! Now when i see real life people in misery covered in blood, it just goes over my head. I resent the wilful manipulation of my mind in this way. Dont desenstized me for none of your future wars!

It was this much reviled hollywood system that nurtured and gave the world this talent. Without it Deanna would have been just another pretty girl with a wonderful voice. There'sl lots of them around but there is no Hollywood system to turn talemted people into 'stars'. She didnt want to make singing films anymore - she wanted to be regarded as a talented actress but the non-songing films she made were a box office failure. That's when she gave up making films..I am one of her greatest fans!

My mum is obviously Kathleen .but told my dad if he ever left her this song would haunt him lol now as they are now in their 52nd year so he must have been cautious :) and the most loving parents..

Born Dec 4 1921 - She still lives today at 89. Such a lovely lady and beautiful voice. The "Hollywood Studio System" was so harmful that Deana refused to perform publicly opnce she left. I would dearly love to hear her sing agin - the REAL Deana.

Wonderful Deanna. Thanks God she lived (and lives) in that time and brought this magnificient happiness to this world.
