Solo Project
Jimmy Page "She Just Satisfies"/ "Keep Moving" 7" Acetate (1965). Extremely rare, two-sided acetate features Page playing all the instruments except the drums, he even sings.

The following is from an interview with Jimmy Page
The interviews took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, on June 16 and 17, 1977, while the band had a brief break from touring. The discussion concluded on June 19, 1977
following a show earlier that night in San Diego.

DS: What about your solo single, "She Just Satisfies"?

JP: I did it because I thought it would be fun. I played all the instruments except drums, which was Bobbie Graham. The other side was the same story.

DS: Why didn't you do a follow-up to "She Just Satisfies"?

JP: Because I wanted to do "Every Little Thing" with an orchestra, and they wouldn't let me do it.

DS: So you refused to do anything else?

JP: No, it was just left like that, and my contract ran out before I could do anything else. Simple as that.

    I know my Zeppelin.

Ive physically seen this single on vinyl.

    Its Page...

  • I just thought this becuz this singer has a truly american accent, jimmy however has a strong british voice

  • Jimmy was doing session work with the kinks at the time. It sounds a wholelot like one of their tunes

  • Wow. You guys don't like Jimmy Page?

  • Sounds fantastic!! Jimmy Page sings very cool.

  • @scarfacedan09 not fake, read the book "HAMMER OF THE GODS"

  • i got this on a compilation of James Patrick Page session Man, so this isnt really 'rare' but it also has the REMIX of Jake Holmes IM CONFUSED misidentified as the NEW YARDBORDS and also this song is not fake!!! read about it in the HAMMER OF THE GODS BOOK.

  • it's REAL, it's been around for years and years and years (at least 34) and it IS Page singing as well as playing all instruments and producing.

had it had a strong melody it might have broken him as a solo star. fine (and only with the flip side) effort.

  • @LedWilde Haha, good point! Doesnt matter much to me either :P

  • This is of course 'Revenge' written for the Kinks by LARRY PAGE!!!! (no relation) their manager , with lyrics added-did Jimmy write the Lyrics?-more likely Barry Mason did!

Remember you can't spell plagiarist without a P-as In Page-J.Page

  • wow he was only 21 here

  • @akjd90 and in "hammer of the gods " stephen davis says that too

  • @WhiteCamry, thanks for that info; I did not know Page also played on The Kinks' "Revenge". It makes me wonder: What British pop/rock single produced between 1963-1968 Did Page NOT play on? LOL

  • @JimmyPageification 50 years older than you? That doesn't matter to him. lol

  • @DieByTheDrop Page did session work on that song, so it should sound somewhat like it. The song is based off of another Kinks song "Revenge", which Page did work on.

  • The singing doesn't sound much like Jimmy until he sings "so good". That part sounds exactly like page.

  • dam dis is soo good...........JIMMY PAGE is GOD of all that is music... nothing will ever come close..

  • @luvthatzeppelin Same riff as the Kinks instrumental "Revenge".

  • @lennonzappa71 ,

That's exactly what it is. Page made this by putting his own vocals on "Revenge," on which he'd sessioned.

  • Jimmy P Davies

  • This is deffinitely Jimmy's song. His one and only single. He played all of the instruments on it and sang vocals too. It's available on collections of his early works ,and you can still buy the single as an import . I don't think it sounds like the Kinks at all. Rather, the Kinks songs that Jimmy played on sound like Jimmy's .

  • @DieByTheDrop This would have been done right around the time when Page actually did record the riff for You Really Got Me, on the Kinks album. funny you should mention...

  • "Revenge" by the Kinks, that's what this song sounds like.

  • Sounds just like "You really got me" by The Kinks.

  • @notfragile33

Jimmy thinks his voice isn't that good.

Besides, it seems like he's too busy playing to say anything.

  • @akjd90 thats suppost to be complete bullshit

  • let's see: I've heard Joe Perry sing a few Aerosmith songs, Jeff Beck sing, I think Carlos Santana even singing some of the "Spanish" Santana songs. Now Jimmy Page. He has a better voice than all of them, and all those other axe-men bothered to sing again! But he never did--why?

  • all of you say it is page singing are full of shit. i dont care what you read. he might of sang a version of this but this deffinatley isn't it

  • @luvthatzeppelin It's more like love and admire.
