  • I liked watching Neville Wanless in this clip - he seems very friendly and relaxed and much less formal than the BBC announcers. I am from the Central region and it is great to see closedowns from the other ITV regions with their own indvidual style. Now it is all just "ITV Plc" and so dull (Unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland where they have kept their original ITV companies).

  • As it should be

  • neville wanless would never have been an announcer on the bbc, his diction was really bad, mind you tyne tees would have any tom ,dick ,or harry , as a continuiety announcer the professional ones were judy lines, lyn spencer, sally morton, adrian cairns, james lloyd, to name a few neville should have peen pensioned off long before he was he does hospital radio now , thats if he hasnt been given the push by them ,

  • good memories. thanks for uploading.

  • Aaaah, he says a special goodnight to those on their own. Showed he really cared - don't get that anymore, do you?

  • a proper piece of England at the end
