In the afternoon hours of June 1, 2011 Numerous strong tornadoes tore through western and central Massachusetts. As part of the initial response, numerous Structural firefighting Task Forces were dispatched to the area. This is the video I shot while responding in Ashland MA Engine 2.

  • When they lit him up, he said he was walking through the neighborhood. They searched his backpack......in it was a hammer, screwdriver and medical gloves.hmmm. i wonder what those would have been used for....

  • I was working for Securitas Security in downtown Springfield, we had to bring people int 91n and 91s parking garages. then when i was doing patrols there was a subaru in the Red Rose pizzera's roof. That night was crazy, National Guard was brought in at night with night vision and m4s. I was talking to Spc. Wentwald and he said that couple of the NGs were in a humvee watching(through night vision) a man dressed in all black jumping behind each tree for cover.

  • be safe out there that is some pretty dangerous stuff!
