Class is over for the day and it's time for a sing
along.....

The teachers at this government school are Buddhist,the students Muslim. And they're hoping to inspire their pupils - and their loyalty to the state - with nationalistic songs, in praise of Thailand.

On the surface, at least, it's a harmonious
picture..But behind the smiles there's another story.

Teachers and pupils alike live in real fear of insurgents who are armed with a very different kind of message...

Lots of people tend to forget that this conflict is not all about religion but also about culture and ethnicity. The region where the insurgency happens used to be an ethnic malay islamic sultanate before Thailand conquered it. The Malays were there far more before the Thais came and Thailand is trying to assimilate them... This part of South Thailand should be part of Malayisa, I dont understand why Malaysia doesnt come to the defense of Ethnic malays in Thailand though...

muslims have definately no right to terrorize, kill and murder- though on the other hand its scary what the Buddhist teachers are doing to the children as well.

no one is concerned that the teachers are brainwashing the children to become slaves of the state- to bow and praise the state- thru worship songs?? thats messed up too. pure nazi-socialism/communism.
