I guess I too am partial to the 1st group since I was always around them or at their home. The next group were good singers but even clara admitted she would never take the time to train like she did the first group. At least Madeline Thompson is keeping the group going in California.

The Wards were really a force thru-out the 50s. their stage antics caused their popularity to soar. I remember many times at the famed apollo theatre watching them dismantle the place. but that 1st set of singer were the best, the 1958 replacement never lived up to the past fame or talent.
