Hey guys, an 'instrumental' from The Bestial Tale of Cynthia album! Well actually, I recycled a One Dark Curse song (My other project) entitled 'Wulfona's Lullaby'... But obviously with great sounding orchestrations this time around! I kept this one relatively simplistic as far as arrangements goes, but I hope you enjoy it! :)

Here's some lore on this song and how it fits in with my story. I have alot of ideas and stuff written about this epic werewolf tale, here's a tidbit:

Dawn is a book geek. At home, her mother has collected some of the rarest and most brilliant books in existance. Of all the fairytales and non-fiction books Dawn has read, "Music and the Mind" has effected her the most. Because of it she has learned how to play violin and has extensive knowledge on music theory of the mind.

When Dawn and Cynthia were younger they found a book about hypnotizing. Dawn loved the idea of hypnosis and usually made Cynthia her test subject. It became a goal of hers to hypnotize Cynthia and somehow ease her into responding to certain noises or words when she was awake.

It wasn't until she picked up "Music and the Mind' that she began using music to send subliminal messages to Cynthia while under hypnosis. The results were suprisingly more effective while Cynthia was under hypnosis, but still no response outside of hypnosis.

To her, using music instead of words was 'brilliant'.

She came up with certain melodies to somewhat control Cynthia. One melody she entitled Cynthia's Lullaby, which made Cynthia fall into a deep sleep. Of course, she tried using the melody when Cynthia was awake and had full conscienceness, but in her words - "It barely made her yawn. Although, I think she became a little more tired afterwards!".

In the story, she ends up using her violin to sometimes control Cynthia while she is in werewolf form. She finds out that Cynthia responds to noises she made, back when they used to practise hypnotizing, in her altered state of mind as a werewolf and performs "Cynthia's Lullaby' to calm her down, sometimes making her fall asleep.

(More lore and stories from The Bestial Tale of Cynthia coming soon!)

  • really nice song and are you writing a book or a story to go with the album, really enjoyed it want to know the whole story lol.

  • @crazyx88 hehe, thanks :) Well, I love writing stories and i'd love to write an actual book. I've been writing off and on every once in awhile about various stories from my projects album. A book won't be possible, I don't think right now. But maybe in years to come i'll write book(s) and they'll be about the stories i've written, like 'The Bestial Tale of Cynthia'. For now i'll probably just keep all the stories/characters/lore within a website or album release booklet. Who knows!
