My best video of the Meitetsu Panorama Car 7000 serie.
Arriving at Inuyama terminal station. You can see a lot of Meitetsu trains, and the switchback operations on this very old train (1961).

  • I live in Sydney now and miss Inuyama which is home town. This clip of Inuyama station reminds me of many memories in the city. Still 20 month to go.....

  • hello, this is very sad appears the super express panorama (Tokiyo Densha, the white train) soon go make the last ride.... i think, i not sure. I see a lot of people (200 ) in toyoake station, taking photos and film from tokiyo train in day 11 or 12 of this month (2009/04/11).... and a lot of people coming to taking photos. im not see much of them this days a more modern train is coming as tokiyo express..

    sorry for bad english.

  • Very sad day! These trains have now recently been retired! The last run was only less than a fortnight ago, the 27th of December of 2008! I hope that there might be an interest as to have at least one or two of these beautiful trains kept in running order for special fan trips, as it would be a real shame to have all these 7000 series simply scrapped! (If anyone knows of any preservation plans, PLEASE keep us updated)! Seriously.

    Thanks.

  • Oh no! I saw a story on Ohayo Nippon about the Meitetsu Panorama cars this morning.. but I didn't hear it. They must have been talking about retiring these cool trains. (;_;)

  • Konichiwa! (Sorry, YouTube won't allow me use Hiragana, Kanji, or Katakana here)! This is THE train for me! I am concerned as they are planning to retire all these 7000 Panorama cars very soon! I don't know how recent this clip was made. But I REALLY need to know, as I am concerned that it may already be too late!

Please, send me a message ASAP! I REALLY do not want to learn that these have already been retired from service! Arigato!
