@metallicafan53 Lexington is setup entirely different. Shelbyania is not in Pikeville and isn't even close enough to be in included in the city. It is better to explain where that is than to lie and say it is in Pikeville. If you were in Millard would you say you live in Pikeville? You probably would. Pikeville is one place. This has nothing to do with the people and everything to do with the correct area. Look at a map and see what I am saying.

@deseed I knew a person that lived up on Little Creek in Virgie that told people she lived in the suburbs of Pikeville. People in Elkhorn say they are in Pikeville when they are in Elkhorn. 35 minutes from there. If you explain to people where these places are then they can better understand where you live. It's more confusing to say you are from Pikeville then have to explain where exactly you live in Pikeville. It makes it even harder when the place you live isn't even close.

@brucie1991 I already know where everything is. I don't need a red neck half ass explanation as to how the roads lead into one another. Once you get passed the fire dept. coming out of Island creek you are in the city. That is less than a mile. Anything after you pass the fire dept coming from the island creek bridge is in the county. On the other end when you are turning off from the road leading to hurricane on to cedar creek. Once you get passed Cedar Gap your are in the county.
