Why would we listen to someone who wasted billions of dollars on a worthless program and turned a government organization into a subsidiary of the military industrial complex. Hayden is one of those government officials that has steadily been moving us towards fascism. Instead of listening to this clown -- you should be asking Thomas Drake what he thinks!
We need a full investigation and the application of the law to this situation. And, it is true that torture is a good means to get people to say what you want them to. Indeed, that was how they got information that there was a link between Sadaam Husein and Al Queda - torturing Khalid Mohammed. And that was one bit of the less than stellar evidence that got us into Iraq. Too bad it was wrong. I'm sorry sir, but your are admitting to criminal acts.
He has broken the law and will get away with it. Torture is unconstitutional to do this to our own citizens (crewel and unusual punishment). Torture was encouraged and subcontracted out. We used other countries and individuals to do what we couldn't. Of course, there were blanket immunities handed out, but people don't talk about those much.
This guy needs 2 b totured by "terrorists" then by us amaerican soldires n c what our soldires r goin through in Irag when they get caught. Hes a bald head dumbass. (In My Opinion)
I think he brings up a good point. We as American should decide. We have three choices: (1) Do we want to be a moral compass and have an increase in the probability of terrorist attacks? (2) do we want to torture people and maybe protect American lives? (3) Last, we keep the current practice of doing something in between? It is hard to get point fingers at Bush when we as Americans were crying for blood after 9/11. I didn't like Bush; but I do take responsibility for my support.
This is the same idiot that didn't know the words "probable cause" are in the 4th Amendment.
