Milli Vanilli performing "Girl You Know it's True" on the Grammys, February 1990. A cursory view will reveal that they were lip-synching the whole song (watch the times you hear words sung while the mic was pulled away). See my other video of Milli Vanilli winning the Best New Artist Grammy just minutes later; the Grammy would be revoked 9 months later after it became public knowledge that Rob and Fab (who you see here) did not sing on the Milli Vanilli album or any of its singles.

Clearly you've missed the point. These people NEVER sang the music! Sure, live performance, the artist is running around, you don't want to hear them singing while they're out of breath. So they lip sync THEIR MUSIC! Why would you give a grammy for new artist for a group that NEVER performed the songs? By your logic, they should give me the grammy too! I performed it just as much as they did!

i love how they decide to revoke the grammy 9 months later but who set the song up with the lyrics in the 1st place knowing that he would lip synch it to begin with, just like they did with every performance this year. there is no such thing is live music anymore when it comes to the dance music indiustry of this day and age
